| What is Watching Over? | 'Watching Over' is the online community shared by three English heroes. The story explaining this unusual venture can be found here. |
| I'm not at all sure about this blog thingy; why can't you write this as 'normal' fics? | The whole point of this project for us, the authors, was to try out rpg-fic'ing. The prologue fics exist to set up a situation where the three characters will happily share a community blog with one another. We fully understand why some people don't enjoy reading such formats, and so recognise that some people who enjoyed the prologue will not continue to follow the stories through the medium of the blog. |
| Who plays who? | The voices are provided as follows: Lesley - Spike, Lori - Giles, and Magpie - Wesley. |
| Are we meant to give feedback? | You don't have to, but, well, it's kinda nice to receive ;-) |
| How are you going to get feedback from us? | After requests, we have provided a live journal community wherein people can post feedback on the project. It is linked to from Watching Over and can be found here. You do not have to be a member of Live Journal to use this facility. We can also receive feedback via email to the lists or private email to here |
| How do you keep other people from butting in and posting in the threads? | We have set it up so that only 'friends' of the community can post in the blog, or post comments. A determined hacker could undoubtedly break through the LJ security, but we're not sure why they would bother. |
| Are you guys going to be updating daily? Weekly? | Well, technically we are updating every day, but only when a thread is deemed 'complete' do I make it visible to all. So effectively we will be updating twice a week. Monday, as a support to the spoiler-free, and then either Thursday or Friday. |
| Will you be sending update notices to the lists? | Yes :-) Currently we inform the following lists when the blog is updated: BA_Gutter, Spikes Salvation, Defenders of Wesley, Rogue Demon Hunter, Watcher Girls. |
| What order should we read the posts in? |
If you are reading in the main blog view, the most recent post will be at the top of the page. You need to work your way down to the last post you read and then read up from there. If you are reading in the archives, the posts are arranged in folders which are clearly named to show the correct order. |
| Will there be any more conventional fics in this story? | Yes, there will be several. |
| Is the blog beta'ed? | No. The format makes beta'ing impractical, not only that, but the comments cannot be edited once posted. Because of this, we hope readers will be understanding about the occasional mistake. Consider it a nice touch of realism ;-). |
| The dates and times don't make sense. | Correct, so please ignore them ;-). Where possible, we have stripped the dates and times. Unfortunately Live Journal does not make this possible a lot of the time. |
| Can we list 'Watching Over' as our LJ friend? | Yes, you are welcome to. Watching Over will not link back, obviously. |
